So recently I programmed a Harmony remote for a new Sony LED TV (KDL-52EX700) and there were no discreet commands for inputs in the Harmony database. I even tried several last years models and while a majority of the buttons worked, none worked for discreet inputs. So currently I have to use INPUT NEXT commands to do what I want, is there any trick out there for these newer TV's? Toggles suck.

Try the KDL 52XBR9 as the model number I have found it to work many times.

That was the first older model I tried and still no go.
I even tried an XBR4 and a W5100 and nothing.

Unfortunately you can only add one command per device.

I guess my biggest question is how did you come about getting these pronto hex codes? Are these codes confirmed to work for the KDL-52EX700?

One of the other kind users here gave them to me and no I have not yet had a chance to install an EX series Sony. I have seen others issues with the EX series TV so i would guess that they use a different command set and that Sony has yet to release the commands.

The codes came from THIS list of sony codes and the MakeHex program. You could use MakeHex to do a brute force search using 255 codes at a time for each device and subdevice if you wanted. The known working video 1-9 are spread out among the Sony 1, 151 and 119 device codes. These work with most sony tv's from the past several years. If EX series codes different from these do exist, no one has found them yet AFAIK.

I just hope Harmony gets word that these new TV's do not have discreet inputs and is working on it. Sony is a very popular TV for our customer base and we program alot of Harmony remotes....

It's not harmony's problem. It's sony's problem. Discretes don't exist for these sets, period, no matter what remote you use. It's not a matter of harmony adding some new commands to the database. The commands simple don't exist. Sony didn't put them in there. If you get a real programmable remote like JP1 or pronto you can try every possible code and you'll see for yourself that discrete inputs don't exist.
If you try every code I posted above and every unused code in between, you'll find that none of them change inputs on this model.
So the best advice is to live with it or avoid these TV's altogether and hope that sony gets their act together on the next model.
EDIT: After more digging, this may not be the case. Bottom line is we don't know for sure yet. The limited info out there is conflicting.
