I am trying to program a Logitech 515 remote but am having trouble getting it to detect the correct input on the tv.

The tv is an older Philips 17PF9945 with internal Fm Radio Tuner.

To access the external inputs I first have to press one of four function buttons marked TV then cycle through the external inputs till the correct input is found. There are no discrete buttons available to directly select the correct input.

External inputs Available are selected as follows.

Analogue Tuner -> AV1, AV2, CVI, AV3.

Other Function buttons are  PC, TV, HD, RADIO.

How does the Logitech remote know if I am already on the correct TV/AV input and if not, firstly it needs to press TV to access the external av ports and how many Input Next buttons need to be pressed to access the correct AV input?
