Can Harmony 550 remote be programmed to power-on a DTV converter box and then power on a Sony TV in a single button click? Conversely, can it power-off both units too in a single button click? It already has been confirmed that the DTV converter box is Harmony 550 programmable.
I need to know because the DTV Digital to Analog converter box remote control is totally unusable and my mother cannot deal with it.
I am considering purchase of Harmony 550 remote. Thank you.

All Harmonys work in this same way, and for your requirements the extra features of the 550 would not be required, and a 510 or 520 would be adequate.
You can compare models at the Remotes link at the top of this page, and from the fixed thread Useful Harmony Links at the top of the list in the General section.

Thank you for email.
The next critial requirement is:
Once DTV Converter box and TV are power-on, can Harmony 510 be configured to transmit change channel signal to Sony TV while change volume signal is transmit to DTV Converter box?
Thank you for bringing up the point about Harmony. I think 5 device support of Harmony 510 is enough for my application. But I wonder if the Harmony 510 has the same size LCD as Harmony 550.
Thank you.

pucho, this is the concept of activities...simultaneous control of different devices
when you setup the activity, you'll be asked which device changes channels and which device changes the volume....answer those as you want, and you'll be good to go

Hi Pucho,
usually it's vice versa, but despite that, it will work both ways!

Thank you very much for your kind support.
The DTV converter box controls channel while Sony TV controls audio level.
Take care.

That's better!
When you set up each Activity you get to specify which device is to display, which to change channels, which to control volume, and any others that may be relevant.
