I used the default codeset to set up my Pioneer CLD-52 LaserDisc player, but not a single button worked. So, I got the remote control I am using (which may or may not be the original!) and the system found a "better" set of instructions and loaded them to the remote.
Now, I'm having a strange problem. When set to the device, everything seems to work well excepting the "Eject" button, which strangely doesn't work on the "original" remote I have either. For power control, I've added a "Power Toggle" to the command menu, which seems to work nicely.
However, in the activity I've built to use the Laserdisc player, hitting the master "OFF" button on the remote does an Eject (which I can't get any other way I've tried!) followed so closely by a POWER OFF that the device powers down with the tray half-ejected! Power Toggle in the menu I constructed works fine - master OFF button at the top of the remote for the activity has different behavior.
Any thoughts? Has anyone else seen anything even remotely like this?

If the eject button doesn't work using your original remote , then it probably won't work using your Harmony. For the other problem, in the software, select your Laser disk player, select Settings, select Change Options, and under Stop on exit, change the setting to Don't send stop command

Thanks so much for the input! It hadn't occured to me, but pressing stop when the unit is already stopped IS the eject sequence. The remote I have is NOT the unit original remote, but works for most functions because of Pioneer's SR system.
I now have a vague recollection that the STOP button on the original was labled something like STOP/EJECT, IIRC.
A little more work has also determined that there is some cross-connectedness between the power sequences for the Pioneer TV and the Pioneer LaserDisc player. Guess they didn't think a plasma and a laserdisc were in danger of being joined! ![]()
