I recently replaced my home theatre receiver with a Yamaha RX-V567, which was released in the last month. When I set up activities, the input/channel that the receiver needs to be set on does not exist. On the remote supplied with the receiver, there is an HDMI section with four buttons labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4. I tried creating an "HDMI 1" and HDMI 2", but that didn't work. Any ideas on how to set this up properly?

Hi and welcome to the forum. You should be able to "learn" the commands from the original remote to the Harmony.

I have tried it multiple times. I still can't get it to accept the HDMI 2 button. I went through the learn process multiple times and verified that the "learned" item was selected for the action I want. It still keeps selecting HDMI 1 on the amplifier, which is the default.

I need to clarify one statement. Instead of saying I can't get it to accept the HDMI 2 selection, I should have said I can't get it to act on the HDMI 2 selection. For the action I am setting up (my cable/DVR box), I want it to select the input of HDMI 2 on the Yamaha receiver. It won't switch to HDMI 2 (stays at HDMI 1). I made sure I was pushing the HDMI 2 button on the Yamaha remote every time I had it learn the item.

This issue has been resolved. Third try did it. I was having problems getting the Harmony remote to accept the signal from the Yamaha remote and it must have been timing out. The third try I was able to quickly get the HDMI 2 button accepted, and the remote is now functioning properly.
