Harmony Remotes - Programming

I have just replaced my old TV with new Sony Bravia KDL-32EX400. I am using a Sony STR-DE597 AV unit, a Sony DVP-NS77H DVD, a Samsung VR8460 VCR, an RCA CD-9400 CD jukebox, and a NIntendo Wii. All seem to be properly connected, the DVD player to the TV via HDMI and a coaxial cable to the AV, the Wii to the TV via component cables, the VCR via normal composit cables, and the TV to the AV via a monitor and audio cables. I am using my Harmony 520 to try to control everything. Prior to the new TV everything worked well.

I cannot seem to get the remote to change the TV input settings no matter what I do. It will turn all the right units on but not change the input. If I use the remote's help I can cycle through the setings but this is not correcting the problem. Since the TV's remote has only 1 button to cycle through the inputs I used that choice in programing the remote. I an not sure of some of the programing choices as the TV remote button only says "Input" and there are several different Input choices in the programing list. I think perhaps I need to clear the remote's memory and start fresh with whatever suggestions I can get here.

I read through the thread and don't understand any of it I've tried all the settings multiple times with varing results. Right now the Tv will sometimes go to the right input when first turning on but won't always go to the proper input when I select a new activity. One big question about setting up inputs. When the setup menu asks about what inputs are in use I checked the TV menu and all 4 HDMI inputs are shown as being in use. I only have 1 HDMI device connected, the Sony DVD on HMDI 1. Should I keep these in the stetup or just use HDMI1? The TV does not skip these inputs when manually selecting the input.

If you're using Input Method 2 you should edit the list of Input Names to match those that you use and check that the correct Command is assigned to each remaining Name.
