I want to put some (or all) of the channels I have manually tuned in on my Sky HD box on to buttons on my 555. As there are no menu numbers associated with the channels on this menu (the only way to select one is to use the up/down and then "Select") and you can only have so many steps in a sequence, is there a way to tell it to press the up/down key a specified number of times?
Thanks

Hi and welcome.Have you really found with a standard Sky HD receiver some channels that are not on the EPG but are worth having?
You could try "learning" to a key in Custom mode a number of up or down commands sent in rapid succession, and then using the command it produces within a sequence - but I wouldn't hold out too much hope of that working!

Yes, because I am in Ireland, the epg is different so I have to add channels like ITV, BBC HD, BBC 3, BBC 4, etc....
I cannot record from these channels as they are not on the ROI epg but I watch them quite regularly.

Ah thanks, neighbour - I hadn't thought of that!
Going to give a try to the "learning" suggestion?

I don't understand why you can't call a sequence from within a sequence!
Then all you would have to do is create a few sequences, each with a different number of up/down steps.
It seems from looking through the forum that the only way to do it is to create a new command button and then get it to learn raw commands from the sky remote e,g, down, down, down.
Thanks for your suggestion.

That's OK - I got the suggestion from other entries in the forum too, and some have got it to work!
I'd have a Sequence of "Services" and "9" - to get to Other Channels, and other Sequences with from 1 to 5 "Down" - or 1 to 4 "Down" and Select" -, Customise the first to a spare button, Customise the others to number buttons or to new screen buttons.

I created a command called "Down 2" and I then tried to get it to learn from my Sky remote, but it will not record two presses of the down key. I have tried slow, quick and very quick, but I always end up with a command that moves down once.
Am I missing something?
BTW I have a sequence with "Services", "9", "Down", "Select". and some variations of same including some with "Up" in place of "Down". It's just that 5 steps are not enough, which is why I was trying to create the above command.

Make sure you do IR Learn -> Custom -> Learn Key as Raw.
I've been able to do up to 5 keys (with effort); 3 is pretty easy.
