Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

I am using a Harmony ONE remote to control my Insignia NS-LCD42 TV.  There are 7 inputs plus the TV Tuner.  There are three input buttons that cycle through the different inputs on the TV: the channel buttons turn on the tuner, the Video button cycles inputs 1-3, Comp. cylces inputs 4-5, and HDMI cylces inputs 6-7.

I have tried all the input settings on the Harmony ONE.  The only one that works is Meathod 3 which you press input, cycle, and select.  This takes forever to cycle through 7 inputs!  Any advice on how to change inputs using 3 unique input cycling buttons?

multiple buttons that cycle through subsets of the total input list...that has to be setup by tech support...I recommend contacting them...

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

How is this problem solved?  I have the same problem and still don't see an option to deal with it in the software.  I don't want to post a new thread with the same problem, but since I can't see how this one is "solved" I might as well do so.

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

it's solved ONLY by tech support making an adjustment for you...it's NOT something you can change

WA's previous post answers: In this case by referring it to Logi support.

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

I'm sorry, I thought the "solved" system was like every other forum where the solution is actually present in the thread for other people's reference (otherwise why even listed it as solved?) and not just "contact tech support."  I guess I'll solve my solution that way then!

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

this forums solution functions works to point users in the direction of the solution...in the past I've asked that this input selection method be available for us to setup ourselves, but support has stated that it's a bit tricky and it's best if they set it up themselves.  now, typically they'll set it up for the tv and users adding it after that will not have any problems...but occassionally they do

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

Is it typical that support will setup stuff on a per-user basis?  That's a bit surprising to me since I didn't see any mention of it in the FAQ.

Re: Video Inputs for Insignia TV & Harmony ONE

it's a fairly uncommon input selection method used by (no offense meant here) cheaper tv's....vizio, insignia, etc...use this method.  the type of people that spend the kind of money on harmony remotes typically doesn't jive with those that buy the lower end tvs...so it's not really an issue that comes up a lot.  and as mentioned, it's something that once tech support sets up, it's generally good for all users of that tv afterwards.  likely the problem is more along the lines of each subset of the inputs being out of synch from what the remote thinks...but contact support and they'll help you out

Ayato:

The "solved" thing here isn't a precise indication - the same with the Kudos - they're whatever each user thinks they are.

Support are always willing and able to make an individual adjustment when it's necesssary - just ask them what you need.
