Hi everyone,
I am an installer and have encountered 2 problems with remote codes and profiles with the Logitech Harmony 1000. I haven't tried with any other Harmony yet but since it is a remote code problem I assume the bug will persist no matter which model you use.
First of all, I am an installer and have at least 10 different accounts and second of all I have in stock and at my disposal 5 brand new Harmony 1000 remotes and 5 brand new RF extenders with which I have tested this fault so I am pretty sure that it is not a hardware fault (if it was Logitech would have alot to answer for
)
Fault 1. When I add the television Toshiba Regza MODEL NUMBER to any of my profiles, with any of my 1000 remotes and with or without an RF extender, the upload process fails and there is a script error. Once I remove this particular television from the devices I can upload again. If I try a different make or model I can upload. But this does not help me since I own this television and I sell it regularly. My own personal profile has this particular television and it still works. However it was added to my profile a while ago. The last time I added this television to a profile was about 4 weeks ago and it worked fine. I assume a few days after that a fault arised in Logitech's database since it was impossible to upload with this model after that.
Fault 2. I have a Dreambox (actually a mirror make called FlyBox) which once again works perfectly on my own profile which was added quite a while ago but if I add it now I get the problem with multiple line jumps with the directional buttons. I have made the timing and steps the same as my own profile but still no luck. What really puzzles me is that when I re-learn each command with the original remote control it still does the same thing.
Does anybody have any ideas what the fault could be? Has it been reported before?
Hope to hear something soon
Kind regards
K

Hi and welcome.
I have a Regza and there has been a recent update for it but that hasn't caused any problem.
Both your issues need to be referred direct to Logitech support for prompt attention.
