Customizing activity buttons - guess im not the only one?

I'm having a problem since upgrading to version 7.5 with customizing the activity buttons. They do not seem to go to anything except their default name. My "listen to music" button goes to cd instead of XM like i want it to. Everything else seems to be okay. Anyone else having this problem?

I apologize if this has been asked 20x over.

Which remote do you have?
The appearance of the Activity button normally depends on the type of Activity that you set up.

Re: Customizing activity buttons - guess im not the only one?

Sorry, i should have said that. I have the Harmony 670 remote. Well normally by default it does depend on what sort of activity is being programmed as to what button it uses, but in my case im still listening to a music source (XM radio) and want to map the listen to music button to this activity. It goes back to its default of listen to cd's when i press the button...no matter how i select it during setup of the remote. Thanks.

Re: Customizing activity buttons - guess im not the only one?

On my one the icons for "Listen to music" (by radio) and "Listen to CD" Activities are quite different but I don't know how that compares with the 670.
You mention "it goes back to its default of listen to cd's when I press the button" - could you explain that a little more - which button do you press?

Re: Customizing activity buttons - guess im not the only one?

hhatkin, i have four activity buttons at the top of the 670 and one is labled "listen to music" you can change what activity these buttons control. Before I upgraded to the latest software i was able to map this listen to music button to my xm radio activity. By default when you press it, it activates the listen to cd's activity. I dont want this. I can not seem to change it, it always reverts back to the default setting of listen to cd's.

Hi.
The only thing I can suggest is to set up those two Activities again, making sure that you select the correct type in each case, and that each includes the correct devices - sorry not to be of more help. H H

be sure when you re-create the Activities that you click on create activity manually this will allow you to add only the devices that you want and not accept a default setup

This problem appears from the 7.5 update and there's no way to make it work like before. At least none that I know!

Re: Customizing activity buttons - guess im not the only one?

I have the 670 and the problem is the same as Danklin. I am unable to customize the activity buttons at the top of the remote since 7.5.0.

For the button "Watch MOVIE", I was using an activity called PVR. Now it revert back to the default setting and use the activity "Watch a DVD". In the "Harmony Remote Software" everything is set as I want it. But it doesn't work on the remote. The 3 activity buttons are all to their respective default settings.
