Harmony Remotes - Software/Firmware

When I have madea clean instal of Harmony t.7 software, it doesn't launch. I get error message: "InvocationTargetException null"

I have now read the thread that suggested running software at xp compatibility mode. It worked for the error message, but now the programs only opens a white blank window named "Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.5.0"

Mine runs fine on Vista 64.

Have you tried running as administrator?

Mine sometimes pretends it's not there - refuses to do anything.

Patience and a re-start of Vista 64b always brings it back to real life though.

Mine has run fine on Vista 64 bit and currently runs great on Vista 32 bit.  So it does work with Vista--pretty much any version that's out there as I've used almost all of them at one time or another.  At the moment, I'm using a desktop with Vista Ultimate. 

A "white, blank window" usually indicates a problem with the "flash" software that is installed as part of the Harmony installation I believe.  There could be other reasons as well, but my experience with this software tells me this is part of the problem--if not all of it.  Have you tried to contact support?  (You probably have, but I thought I would ask anyway).

I have the same problem as many of you do. I'm unable to run the software to program the remote. I've downloaded the software 3 times. Uninstalled and reinstalled.  Can not set compatibility for Win XP service Pack 3.  So far I have a $360.00 paper weight.

 

What is the estimate for the fix for this remote software?

I have not had any problems running 7.5 on either my Desktop running Vista Ultimate or my Laptop running Vista Home Premium.
