2 similar devices with harmony 650?

Hi there. Thinking about buying a 650 but wanted to check: We have a Panasonic blu ray and also a Panasonic DVD recorder. I had to fiddle about on the remotes to prevent them conflicting as they would both respond to the same remote initially. Can I set up the 650 so that it can operate these two devices independently? Thanks

If you are able to change the command set on one of the devices, then the answer is yes.  If you are not able to change one of the devices command set, then the Harmony remote wiill control both devices at the same time, just as your original remote(s) will do.

Yes. Panasonic has 3 code sets. So set one of your devices to use address 2 on both the device and original remote. Then confirm IR on harmony with the remote set to 2. If that doesn't work, you'll have to learn all commands from the address 2 remote. I don't remember the steps, but it's in the panasonic manual. At one time I had 3 pannys in my rack using all 3 addresses.
