Have a Harmony 1100 enroute in mail . Currently i have 46" LCD with Shaw HDPVR and HDDVD player w/surround upstairs . I am building new HT in basement will have 50" Plasma , PS3 ( for BluRay ) and Onkyo 706 with 7.1 Inwall/ceiling speaker setup .
Question is i want to leave Shaw PVR upstairs ( $600 for another one ) and control it from downstairs HT when no ones watching it , I realize i can do this with the RF extender setup on my Shaw-box but how would i set that up on the 1100 ?
New to RF- IR and HT in general so any help would be great . and a thx to Wannabe for putting up with the noob questions on the AVS forum ![]()

Hi and welcome to this forum.
You specify in the software which devices you want to be controlled by the 1100's extender.

it's pretty simple...as hhatkin says, in the software, once you add the extender, you'll see a 'control devices with' tab on the top...select that and you can assign which devices get controlled by the extender (RF) and by the remote (IR).
I try to hang around on avs, but it's just too big...I mainly focus on like 5-6 threads there about my more recent HT products (tv, receiver, br, 1100)

That's OK - you know where to come if there are any questions when you get it.
