550 & Safe mode

Hi,

The remote is stuck in Safe Mode. Took the batteries out and re-inserted, no good.

Checked for a stuck button, none.

disabled Norton, no good.

removed batteries and held to Off button and inserted USB, waited 10 seconds, stays in save mode.

I'm out of ideas, Anyone have any other ones?

FYI, I tried 2 different USB cables.

Thanks,

Tom

If it is in Safe Mode, try hooking it up to your PC and do a Firmware update followed by then Updating your remote

Re: 550 & Safe mode

Tried a firmware update. I'm on the latest Rev. already. I get an error when trying to do a firmware update, it stops and aborts at this point every time.

Interesting thing is that w batteries Activities solid and w/o batteries and USB activities blinks. The manual test mode even fails.

I'll try just an Update...
