[quote]Change the setting to the biggest number not zero, it fixed mine!

WHAT SETTING ???

I keep seeing references to "the number"....   WHAT $@@$#@#% number ??   where is it ?

since the Logitech software is so "user friendly" it could take hours to find a vauge reference by clicking around ! !

Re: 880 Repeating commands for all devices

If you click the "devices" tab and then for each device click "trouble shoot" you'll see a button that says " <device> responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally."  That's were the setting is located.  It seems to help some people but doesn't for others.  Bottom line is Logitech says they will have the problem fixed by Tuesday.

Re: 880 Repeating commands for all devices

I understand your frustration SandManx but I assure you the Harmony Remote is a wonderful product. The only three things that I am unhappy with are the bad quality LCD, the poor connection of the remote to the charging stand (keeps beeping when vibrations move the remote which is poorly touching the connections on the stand), and the quite unfriendly software (I am always hunting for the settings I need). Anyhow, once you are done with the grueling process of setting it all up, it is something I would never want to do without.

Fixing a software issue might seem easy, but they have to follow many steps before a software can be released. What if they fix this issue and release right away without proper testing? That might introduce an even worse bug and thus more unhappy customers. Hang in there... I am sure they will fix it... I simply pulled out the other remotes for the time being. BTW, I've had my 880 for years and never had issues with it until now.

Yes, we wouldn't want them to realease without proper testing....   OH WAIT...  that's why we're here now!

Sorry, but I couldn't let that go.   While a true "fix" may not be an easy or quick thing, a ROLLBACK IS!

Software that works EXISTS... why not re-load it ?

And the other thing that IS EASY is prevention!...   If, when I went to update (wreck) my remote I got a message that said "Sorry, the database is under maintainence... please try later"   how many THOUSANDS of phone calls would they have saved themselves ?

As noted earlier. Notify 1st level support of the issue, or EVEN BETTER, take the 2 minutes it would take to change the prompts in the IVR system to say "If you are calling about a repeat problem with an 880, we are aware of the problem and working hard to fix it. At this time there is no solution.  Please check our status page at www.harmonyinfo.com where the status will be kept up to date.  we apologize for being incompetent.

Re: 880 Repeating commands for all devices

I couldn't agree with you more justrandy.  I really, really hope this gets fixed quickly and elegantly because I do like the remote in general.  Logitech must have fixed the issue with the charging base that I seen mentioned frequently because mine fits like a glove.  I've got to have a solution be it Logitech or other because the Mrs is not happy with all my remotes on the table otherwise!

I thought something wrong with the delay, that made me re-do all night long with my mediagate MG450HD!

Since it's server base! How hard it is to have some-kind of pop-up warning!
