I bought my first Harmony remote, an 880 recently. I'm really impressed w/ the setup and config, even before using it on an actual TV (waiting til santa formally brings the TV for Xmas).
I'm curious about using the remote for controlling the PC. Can I just pick up any old USB IR receiver from ebay, and somehow set it up to control certain functions on the PC?
What steps would you recommend, or what have you used that has worked? I don't have media center, just have Windows, all my DVDs on ISO (so the kids wont scratch), and TV as 2nd monitor. Looking to program a button to open the movies folder, maybe use arrows to nav thruogh folders, and select a movie & click on it.
Is this even possible? ![]()
