Configured the Harmony 890 to support the Denon AVR-1912 both Action and Device. Downloaded updated sw and firmware - logitech support helped with this and they moved this to a higher level of support person. Completed the update remote process. Tried the action and the Denon AVR-1912 did not respond with any of the functions (power on/off, volume up/down, etc). Also tried the device on the remote and the 1912 did not respond to either IR or RF commands. I tried both IR and RF configurations and neither worked. It appears to me that they 1912 is not accepting remote codes from the 890 which is strange as I also taught the remote codes as a last stich effort and the 890 did recognize the keys. The support individual did say they support the Denon AVR-1912 even though it was only released in May. All of my other devices work perfectly with the remote both IR/RF.
Config:
Harmony 890 Remote
Sony TV - KDS R60XKBR1
Panasonic Blu Ray - DMP BDT210
Denon AVR - 1912
DirecTv HR22NC-100
Sony DVP NC615

If there is a solution to this can you post it to the forum rather than replying with a PM? My 900 does not send volume controls to the AVR-1912 unless I'm on the device screen for the 1912. I've double checked the settings numerous times and it's set to send volume to the Denon. The wireless icon doesn't even show when I push the volume button like it does when I'm on the AVR-1912 device screen (or like it does for all the other RF-connected devices I have).

Did you check in Activities if the correct commands was assigned to the volume buttons or in Devices? Any settings made in Devices are not carried over to your Activities. You have to do your Customizations in Activities.

I am having the same issue...can not control the volume on the AVR 1912 in device or activity. I can turn on/off in device, but not in activity. Frustrating. Any ideas. I have the Harmony 650.

This still doesn't work for me. The settings are configured to use the Denon 1912 for volume in my "Watch TV" activity and it works fine when I'm in the device but not in the activity. I noticed when I updated the remote just now that there was an update for the 1912 but it didn't change anything. When I click the volume buttons I don't even get the icon at the top showing that it's sending a signal. All the other functions work.
This is very frustrating - it's my third Harmony remote and I've never seen anything like this happen before.
Update: I had to go manually assign the volume and mute buttons to the activity using the "Customize Buttons" option. I'm still not sure why it didn't do this automatically when I selected the 1912 for volume control like it did with all my previous receivers but at least it's working now.

yep, just like rhachey said, if the command was changed in the device mode, it does not carry over to the activity. You have to go into activity and remap it as you did. Glad to hear your up and running again.
