890 pro: 1 activity, 2 A/V receivers

I have two 890 pros with 2 rf extenders.  Everything is working great, except I have programmed a few activities that include using 2 A/V receivers that have the same signal coming into them (it's actually a mac mini with a mini displayport + optical audio to hdmi converter, then run through a 4x2 matrix hdmi switch, then to the two A/V receivers).  My problem is that, even after slowing the speed the 2nd receiver needs to 800ms, I can never get that receiver to turn on despite it being explicitly listed in my settings for the activity.  I have programmed a power toggle button on the additional buttons activity screen as a workaround, but I have spent way too much money on remotes to have to do this.  This also means I must either power toggle that device before powering the activity down, or go through the help screen every time I turn everything off for that activity.  This is frustrating, because everything else works so well!  If anyone has any suggestions in terms of getting the second receiver to turn on and off properly, please help!  Thanks.

Re: 890 pro: 1 activity, 2 A/V receivers

As it turns out, with the eye stuck on the receiver with the little black sticky thing to hold it in place, the onkyo receiver won't power on for any activity.  However, if I go to device and select the onkyo receiver, it powers on and off fine using the power on/off as well as the power toggle buttons.  I don't understand what the problem is.  This certainly does not make sense to me!  The onkyo will not power on or off without my going under the device tab, even if it is the only receiver for the activity.  Anyone else have this problem?  I know that the ir eye is stuck to the right place, because I can hit the power toggle button for that device and it turns on and off just fine, even from the other room.

Re: 890 pro: 1 activity, 2 A/V receivers

does your receiver have an 'IR in' in the back?  my onkyo does and I use a male to male stereo cable to connect my extender directly to the receiver.
