For a 650, is it possible to modify the "All Off" button to send the Standby command to the TiVo?
(just want to turn front panel LEDs off at night)
Thanks,
n8

Hi n8leon,
You can change the PowerSettings of your TiVo and set the PowerOff to be standby instead of Off but it will be sending the Standby commands instead to Off commands even if your just switching activities.

With the Tivo, it has no power button, it is always on, and there is no power button on the remote. Standby only turns off the LED lights on the front of the device. The device is still on.

Yeah, that's exactly what I want...
the Harmony 650 "All Off" button to send the TiVo into "standby" mode
so that it will turn off the LEDs on the front panel.
Can it be done?
If so, do I need the desktop software to do it? (I haven't switched from the MyHarmony WebUI yet)
Thanks,
n8

Hi
I think you just need to ensure that the Tivo device uses for 'Power Off' whatever the command is that the original Tivo remote sends to get it to go to standby (and for 'Power On', to send the command to start up Tivo from standby).
Once that is done, all else being unmodified, Tivo should by default come out of standby when an activity includes the Tivo, go to standby when a new activity does not use Tivo, and go to standby whenever you press 'All off'.
Regards
Chris

With Tivo, there is no power button, as it is always off, to but it into standby, you have to go through several menu selection on your Tivo box, there is no direct command for it.

Try using TCD-540080 for the model number of the TiVo. this model has a powertoggle command and it will be placing the Tivo on standby and turning it back on.

I should have mentioned I am currently using the TiVo model TCD-652160
The Harmony software also has the PowerToggle option for this model,
which I have mapped to the "red" button under WatchTV activity.
That works, except I have to push "red" then "All Off"
So now I just want to add that command to the "All Off" button.
So that's the heart of the question... can you modify the "All Off" button?
rbernas, are you saying if I switch to TCD-540080 model, the 650 will just do what I am expecting with no mods?
(All Off will send the TiVo into standby mode)
Thanks for all the responses!
