Alternatives to Harmony Remotes?

I've owned my Harmony remote for 4 days now and it's only worked for one day.  Given my experience with Logitech I doubt that this and the problems I've experienced and problems I've seen reported in the user forums, I doubt this is the product that I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any recommendations for other programmable remotes to consider?

My only other experience was with a Pronto (model unknown).  It worked great but was a full time job to program.  Anyone looked at the Pronto Prestigo?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Philips remotes may be... But I do not have any experience with those remotes...

The Sony AV 4000 comes with software to help program it for activity like features.

Anyone have any experience with Marantz remotes?  The RC2001 is a similar price point and has a 3 YEAR WARRANTY.  I've seen many posts here complaining about the Harmony remotes breaking after about a year.

Here's the link to the product:  http://us.marantz.com/Products/2248.asp

Also found a site with reviews of various other remotes:  http://www.remotecentral.com/remotes.htm
