Hi,
I've just got the Harmony 1100.
After several attempts, I was successfully able to program the remote and control a couple of devices.
Then I decided to add a RF extender to control one device.
Since I added it, I can't update the remote anymore.
I get stuck while updating with this message :
"Step failed Checking version information: Warning: This update may not be intended for the remote control. - The information was not sent. Check your USB cable and try again. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Step 1 of 4 Dowloanding settings
7% Complete"
The extender seems to have been updated successfully but not the remote.
Of course I have contacted the customer support but they really take their time to answer.
It's really frustrating.
I am using it under Snow Leopartd 10.6.6 in 32 bits.
Both the Harmony and the RF extender are plugged to the computer.
I have already updated both software and firmware on the remote.
Please help !!
Thanks in advance,
TW

You must update the RF Extender first then the 1100
They cannot be connected at the same time

Thanks. It worked but before I received your answer I put the extender on the Safe Mode.
I don't know if it was the combination of putting the extender on Safe Mode and disconnect the extender while updating the remote that works or just disconnect the extender.
But now I cannot put the extender back to normal mode. How do I do that ?
It doesn't work this way.
Thanks again,
Regards,
TW
