Compatibility 895 and 1100 / Compatibilità 895 e 1100

Hello I already have the 895 with the RF extender connected with most of the electronics and I saw that equals that of 1100, according to you if I buy the 1100 then I can use both at once, or remote programming of one of the RF would Superimpose the other to make the other non-operating?
I'd like to use both remotes, as with the 895 now I can control electronics from all over the house (a myth!), And then leave him in one bedroom and one on the parlor table.
Thanks for kind response

Re: Compatibility 895 and 1100 / Compatibilità 895 e 1100

You can only pair the extender to one remote at a time.  If you use 2 remotes to control the same equipment, then one or the other remote will be out of sync.  One remote will not know what the other remote has done.  The only remotes that can work together and also pair to the same extender is the 890 Pro.  If you want to use 2 remotes togeher on the same equipment, you have to setup one of the remotes to not be able to power on or off the equipment or set the input.  It would only be able to change the channels and volume, or once you had started a Play DVD activity, with the other remote, you could also Pause, Play or FF the DVD.  Again you would not be able to start or end an Activity with the second remote.

Re: Compatibility 895 and 1100 / Compatibilità 895 e 1100

Thanks for your quick and exaustive answer. So if I understand correctly I could use the 1100 in the living room for all activities and switch on and off and then take the 895 in the other rooms to change channels. Right? But when I'll program the two remotes i have to sync always the 1100 for last so that the RF extender takes his istructions?

Thanks

Giovanni

Re: Compatibility 895 and 1100 / Compatibilità 895 e 1100

If you need to control all of the devices via the extender then the 895 will not be able to control any functions of the devices unless you have line of sight to those devices. And again the 895 needs to be setup so that all of the devices it is to control can not send any power or input commands.  So those Devices that you setup to be used by the 895, via line of sight, have to setup as the device is always on or has no power button. and that the inputs are set to none, such as the TV and AV Receiver if used.

So I cannot use any of the function of the devices connected via the extender, only the ones on sight. For example I've the Sky decoder with the extender and now with the 895 I change channels from another  room in the future if I buy the 1100 can't do anymore :mansad: with 895 but only with 1100 right?

Yes, with the 895, you can only control those devices that you have line of sight to, and to not get your 1100 out of sync, you can only control such things as volume control, and channel changes, if you have line of sight to thos devices.
