Re: Directional keys repeat (double) twice per key depress

Same issue here with RF extender and PS3 adapter. It affects all devices. oftentimes it is far more than double repeats (I've seen more than 6 key repeats at a time) I've tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned here over the past few months with no positive results. As far as I can tell, the remote itself is broadcasting the signal multiple times inconsistently - based on the little "antenna" icon on the top of the screen's duration and frequency. From that perspective, I think it has little to do with the RF extender or its configuration. I also find that it will queue up multiple key presses which further multiply the effect. You can watch the little icon flash for like 20 seconds on the remote afterwards. Sometimes I find that the issue solves itself after a minute or two although I find the frequency of the issue has been increasing. The only thing that immediately works every time is to pull the battery on the remote and reboot it. I'm fairly certain it has to do with the 1100 itself.

Re: Directional keys repeat (double) twice per key depress

Hey all.  I'm new to all this.  I have a Harmony 300 and it's doing this same thing.  How do I lower repeats, assign ports, and learn the commands in Raw?  I was loving the remote until I ran into this problem. :smileysad:

With the 300, it is not possible for you as a user to lower the repeats, this can only be done by Harmony support.

Re: Directional keys repeat (double) twice per key depress

I too have the problem but with many of the controls. I have one Harmony 1000, two Harmony 1100 and 2 RF's extenders purchased with the 1000 and the first 1100.

Overall, I have been very satisfied with the remotes despite the fact that I have to setup each remote from scratch and don't have the possibility to copy configuration from one to another or just print out the configuration to support  setup of the next remote.

I have several devices controlled in 3 rooms but the one that gives me trouble is the control of a Kiss HMM-3410-DK digital setup box from my Internet/TV provider (TDC, Denmark).  I have two Kiss boxes and the other works fine with both 1000 and 1100 and both my RF extenders.

When I use the remote close to the RF extender, it generally works fine with some odd double-actions. When I move more than 5 meters away from the extender, almost every command is doubled. The only exception is when I use the Remote Favorite Channels with 1-3 digit channel numbers; they all work fine.

Both Kiss boxes are on the first floor and so is one of the TVs I try to control. The other two TV's are on the ground floor. This generally works fine. The only exception is one of the Kiss boxes on the first floor and one of the TV's on the ground floor and it neither works (double actions) with the 1000 or one of the 1100's combined with either of the two RF's.

With only 24 favorite channels in the 1100 remotes and 100+ TV channels in the Kiss + several menu function I can't use, it is very annoying and I can only agree with the other contributors that such expensive devices should work better. I have tried all the things mentioned in the discussion with no effect. I cannot test all combinations of device locations - for example, I cannot change the location of my TV's but I have tried to swap the Kiss boxes.

What can I do? Help!

Best regards

Re: Directional keys repeat (double) twice per key depress

I'm having exactly the same problem with my 1100+RF extender. The strange thing is that it's happening only 95% of the times. in some cases the keys work only once. I've tried pulling the RF extender out of the cabinet to see it it has any positive effect on the reception but no. Logitech - please help :-(
