Yes. That appears to be an early draft which is wrong. The 40.0 can't send any Dish IR commands. You can learn them from an older remote like the 20.0. I've done that, and it works fine, so I'm all set. I was just trying to get logitech to go ahead and add them for everyone else's benefit.
If you use 722 as the model you will gain the power commands but loose the color commands

Can someone please tell me how to set up my Harmony 900 to work my colored buttons on the remote for the Dish Hopper. I have my Logitech software up and ready to put in the steps I need to do. I have my old PVR 622 as a device and then I added Dish Hopper 2000 but I dont know where to go from there. Please use KINDERGARTEN language to do steps as I am not tech savvy!!! lol!

I have a harmony 880, and could not get my Dish Hopper to shut off. After reading the posts here I changed the Hopper to VIP-922 and now it functions normally. This forum is great.

I've read and read and think I may be confusing myself. I have the Harmony 900. I also have the Joey. I'm not using the 900 on the Hopper receiver. I'm using the Joey. What's confusing me is how to set it up correctly. The Device setup for the Joey under Device I'm not sure to use PVR or Satellite. Then of course Manufacturer is Dish Network. For model if using Satellite what do I type in? Same if I use PVR?
I don't know anything about "pronto hex" and "Dish IR commands" etc.
Please Help
Thanks

Pick Dish Hopper, PVR or Satellite, doesn't matter. Both Hopper and Joey use exactly the same codes. If the software asks if you have the original remote, answer no. You don't need any pronto hex, but you do need to understand that your Joey must have IR enabled.

So how do we get the power toggle to work? I want to leave my hopper on all the time. Have Harmony 620, and selected Hopper 2000 under PVR for devices..

In your device setup choose the option to leave it on all the time.

I just recently built a new home theater system and decided to upgrade my Dish Network VIP722 to a Hopper. I have an old Logitech harmony Xbox 360 remote (model #966200-0403), but I haven't used it in over a year. Will this remote function well with a Hopper, or should I upgrade it to a newer model? If I need to upgrade, what current model will work the best?
