Display Glitch on Harmony One

My Harmony One developed a display glitch as shown.  (It looks like a Qix.) Any idea why?  The display glass isn't damaged, it hasn't been dropped (hard :-)... Just one day it appeared.  Is it in the hardware, or could some kind of reboot help?  It's probably out of warranty (haven't checked warranty but it's been 3+ years at least).

Re: Display Glitch on Harmony One

Hi Iryter,

It appears that the LCD screen is damaged. Unfortunately, I wouldn't expect a reboot or reapplying the firmware to fix this.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks, Mark. Figured as much. Have you seen this before? What would cause it if not a physical drop? (yes it's been dropped from a couch to the carpet a couple times, but without anything like this happening afterwards.)

and i don't suppose there's any way you could replace the screen?

Re: Display Glitch on Harmony One

you could try and replace the screen but it's not recommended as you could just as easily cause the remote to not function at all.  As you have pointed out you are out of warrenty, so Logitech would only offer you a 50% disount on another remote.  I think I would just deal with it till time to replace.
