Harmony 1100 rf extender issue

Hello all, I just recently purchased a harmony 1100 and the rf extender. I'm having issues with the rf extender sending multiple commands to my devices when I'm more then 5 feet from the extender. I've tried changing the repeats on my devices but it was no help. The rf extender isn't even inside my av cabinet yet so there isn't anything that should be causing the signal strength to be an issue. And none of my neigbors are close enough to where I would be receiving interference from them.

Hello Rolaebe,

Here are some things to try.

1. Set repeats to 0

2. Assign the ports of the extender to the different devices

3. Learn the commands from the original remote.

If none of those things work then call into our Customer Care Center as they can look into your account further.

If those steps did not work you will need to contact Customer Support as they will need to look further into your account.

Well I just got off the phone with customer support incident number [personal content edited] looks like you guys false advertise. The box the rf extender came in says it can control 15 devices. Well the lady on the phone said I can only have one device tied to each port. That's 4 devices , first off why does each cord have 2 emitters if it can only control one device? Also what controls the other 11 the blaster?

Re: Harmony 1100 rf extender issue

The remote can control up to 15 so that is with the remote itself. SO this includes IR and RF.

The 1100 can also support 3 extenders so 12 devices using the RF. So you can have 3 extenders in three different areas or in the same spot.

Also due to personal information do not post your case numbers.

Sorry, but that being said the remote can only handle 15 devices, but 3 physical extenders in total.

Re: Harmony 1100 rf extender issue

I'm just trying to figure out why support told me I need another extender and each device needs tied to it's own port. I only have 6 devices and one I set up through ir on the remote the other 5 are tied to the 4 ports on the extender. It sounds to me like they are trying to get me to buy another extender when I shouldn't need one if it was working properly
