Harmony 200 not recognized by my PC

I'm using Windows Vista, FireFox 9.0x, and the stock cable to connect and sync my remote. When I first plugged the remote into my PC, it searched, downloaded, and installed some kind of driver (it only said "HID driver installed"). None of the terrible software Logitech provides detects that the device is connected to the PC.  I have been to the troubleshooting page and no, plugging it in multiple times and pressing random buttons is not working. I'm fed up with all the red tape to go through to get my remote to change a freaking channel and I've only had the remote for 2 hours. I'm really thinkig about returning this remote due to the poor support and very poor software. Friends have been asking about the remote and I've told them my struggle and not to purchase until something is done about these issues. If Logitech cares about customer service anymore, I suggest they get a real developer to write better software that can detect a device and/or improve quality control (because I'm going to be very angry if they sold me a defective device).

Wow and no reply, this only proves my point in poor customer care.

Re: Harmony 200 not recognized by my PC

Right click the icon on your desktop of the Harmony Remote software and go to compatibility.

Then set the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP 3.

This is for the 7.7.0 software.

If you are using Myharmony.com please make sure you are not behind any firewall and are direcly connected to the internet (no wifi). Also turn off any virusscanners you might have active.
