Sorry if this is a noob question, I searched before I posted...
I just picked up a Harmony 300 and I'd like to have the volume buttons control my home theatre/dvd player while using the Cable instead of the volume on the TV (which I don't use). Is this possible or am I doomed to switching back and forth between the Cable and DVD? Any thoughts?

You have the option to setup your volume controls. This feature can be accessed through the Change or FIx What a Button Does page. Place your cursor over the Volume buttons and click Setup.
When you press a mode button (TV, Cable/Sat, DVD, VCR/Aux) on your Harmony
300 remote, the remote will send commands to that device.
On the Set Up your Volume Controls page, you can choose the device that will control
volume when in each mode.

This does not seem to work. When I click on the Control Volume drop down arrow for my Cable/Sat device, all I see is my TV set. I want to assign the volume up and down controls for this device to my Cable/Sat box.
OK - got my answer. Had to drag the Volume Up/Volume Down Commands from the right side to the diagram of the Logitech Remote and place them on the Vol UP/DOWN buttons.
Hardly intuitive, but it works. Same for any other undefined buttons.
