How many minutes does it take for Harmony 510 to loose all of its software configuration settings after rechargeable batteries are removed? Because some NiMH batteries require at least 8-12 hours to reach full charge.
Thank you.

Pretty sure all of the harmony's use flash memory which is non volatile. should not be a factor.
A couple of thoughts on using rechargables;
nimh base voltage is 1.2 volts which is close to the depleted voltage of 1.5volt alkaline cells which means that they will probably not last as long on a charge as alkalines even though their capacity is greater.
nimh cells are not good at retaining a charge over long periods. Even with the minimal draw that remotes require, the will loose their charge long before alkalines in the same remote... my experience has been almost six months on a 80 cent set of four alkalines.
If you must go the recharge route, consider a second nimh set to keep charged and ready to swap.
