Harmony Remotes

Love my Harmony 550, but suddenly the on screen text is not displaying.  The blue backlight still works, but not the text.  I already replaced the batteries and that is not the issue.  The remote still works, but the screen display does not (which makes the remote less than totally useful).

Please advise

Hi and welcome!

First thing is to search for stuck buttons, remove the batteries and massage each and every button. If this doesn't help try a firmware update in safe mode. For a 'how to' refer to section 21 in WA's FASQs, just click the link in my signature. If the problem still persist afterwards, it seems to be hardware related, you need to contact Logitech support then.

So I just tried all that.  It still is not working.  The odd thing is that the remote still actually works with my devices....but just doesnt display on the little screen.

so Logitech support is your only choice. When the remote is still under warranty they will replace it. If not, they should offer you a 50% discount on the purchase of a another remote from their online shop.

Hi, I was just wondering if this issue was ever resolved?  I am having the same problem with my Harmony 550.

Contact Logitech support if a firmware update in safe mode did not help

I dont think it is able to resolve.  I did try all of the below but nothing worked so I just ordered another one.

Then report it to Logitech support, and please let us know what they do to resolve the problem, as it has been reported several times recently.

Yup.  Already did.  They suggested that it is likely a simple hardware failure such as, for example, a wire that instructs the onscreen text  became dislodged.  Since I am out of warranty, I bought the new remote with  the discount.
