Harmony Remotes

I can't update my 620 using the latest software 7.6.  It says:

Error: Your network connection is not functioning properly.

I can go to other websites fine.  I disabled Windows XP firewall, still same problem.  The link in the software to additional help with configuration is dead.

Then I used the web interface.  It worked fine for a few updates.  Then I added device "Microsoft Windows Media Center SE" and now the web interface does not update.  It goes pass the first phase which says:

Communication with the Harmony 620 has been confirmed. Click Next

Then it was stuck with this error:

This problem must be resolved before you can update your remote

ASSERTION failed::Application-defined or object-defined error(1)Context: HarmonyRemote=Harmony05

I think there is a problem with Logitech's servers, I had the same problem this afternoon

Edit:  I just closed down the Harmony Software, including the icon in the taskbar, and restarted it and everything is working ok now.

Yes I did close and restart the software several times, but still same problem.  Back to web interface several times too, nothing has changed.

Any ideas to help, anyone? Harmony support persons?

7.6.0 update installed automatically - they could have asked - i would probably have said yes {:-))

But program no longer opens except the following code is diplayed.

7.6.1 in development?

P.S. System is XP Pro and Harmony 785 (had been working just fine.

Here's update: Deleting "Windows Media Center SE" allows the web interface to work again.  However, the software installed in the computer still does not work with the same error stated above.

I don't know why moderators and support persons continue to ignore this thread.  Error documented and problem shown to repeat.

It's one thing that direct support ends after 3 months with the remote, but no support at all even though it's Logitech's own software?

grr. not sure what problem i am having but app is hanging after login today.  servers down?  7.6 software problem? very uncharacteristic for logitech support.

The update error has been resolved on your account. The message you received was related specifically to your MediaCenter device, and was not related to the Harmony software or servers. You should now be able to update your remote.

I still have this problem, disabled windows firewall as well as norton. Don't have windows media center SE. Please help
