New user, Harmony 650 - Samsung D7000 TV, Samsung D-570 Soundbar, Sky+, Apple TV2
Listen to Music Activity setup - Switches on Apple, TV and Soundbar - perfect
Watch Movie Activity setup - Switches on Apple, TV but not soundbar
Watch TV Activity setup - Switches onSky+, TV but not soundbar
All settings are setup in the same way so why is there a difference? Although they have worked correctly on initial setup the Watch TV and Watch Movie options are no longer switching on my Soundbar although the Listen to Music works as advertised? I have adjusted all the Power and Inter-Device settings up and down and returned them to defaults, removed and re-added each device and still get the same results.
What is different with the Music setup and how to I recreate it's success on switching on my Soundbar? Any help much appreciated - I'm not a total idiot(!) but I do appear to be missing something, probably obvious. Thanks.

First question, is the Sound Bar included in your Watch a Movie and Watch TV Activities? If the sound bar is included in both Activities, then you may have to increase the Inter-device delay for the sound bar. With the 650, this is done on the remote and not in the software, press and hold the Help button for 5 seconds to get to the advanced setting area, then select your sound bar and increase the inter-device delay for the sound bar.

rhachey,
Thanks for the quick reply - yes, the Soundbar is included in all 3 of the activities I have set up, in an identical fashion. That is why I don't understand why it works in one and not in the others. I have tried increasing the inter-device delay on the remote to the max of 2 secs (from 0.5 secs default) with no effect. The Soundbar does switch on with it's default settings on the Music mode.
The Watch a Movie setup is identical in every respect to the Listen to Music setup yet one works and the other doesn't. Any other ideas? Kudos!

One other thing to check, is Anynet turned off for your Samsung devices?

Yes, Anynet+ is turned off on all devices. Same problem still exists. After going through the Harmony 'help' section each time it switches the Soundbar on/off on the third attempt (second help attempt).
So, the Listen to Music Activity works as advertised - I set up an additional Listen to Music Activity in exactly the same way and it does not switch the soundbar on! I have deleted them both, reset them to identical settings and one works while the other doesn't!! I thought at least I could repeat the success of one and just give it another name but even this does not seem to work.
I am gutted that the setup process is not completely straightforward. I have three new bits of kit, nothing out of the ordinary, hours down the drain and one more remote sitting on the table! I actually enjoy trying to solve problems but can't fathom this one yet. Perhaps it's time for a complete reboot...
Any further help will be gratefully received

Since Anynet is turned off and you have already increase the Inter-device delay, then I am stumped, time to contact Harmony support to have them look at your setup, something in your profile may be corrupted.
