Harmony 650 problems on watch activities

I have several Harmony remotes in the house (including another 650)  and this 650 is the first one to give me problems.

I have an insignia NS-42L780A12 TV a Motorola 6200 Verizon FIOS box and a Samsung BD-C6800  Bluray player.

For the first few weeks it worked fine.

The problem is with watch activity. When I watch DVD-everything is fine. The problem seems to be when I want to watch TV.  At watch TV: Everything powers on including the DVD player.  The imput switches to DVD and DVD sound. Basically everything turns on inclduing the verizon box. So- at watch TV-everything is on- but the imput is on DVD and the DVD powers on as well. Clicking watch TV again- does nothing. Even help renders useless. Every now and then the OFF does not even work.

All settings are correct and I have wiped the remote and done a manual imput twice. Everytime it is the same deal. Works correctly for a couple of days and then does the same thing as above.  Will buying the Harmony one solve the problem? I have a Harmony one with another system and it works flawlessly.

I would hate to dump this remote since it is relatively new, but it is unsuable at this point.

Re: Harmony 650 problems on watch activities

Be sure that if any of your devices use HDMI-CEC control that it is turned off.  Each Mfg calls it something different.

My Bluray had that HDMI CEC on...I turned it off and it seems to work properly now. Thanks you saved me a couple hundred bucks in buying a Haminy one and probably having the same problem due to that HDMI CEC setting.

Re: Harmony 650 problems on watch activities

Glad you got it working now, HDMI-CEC and Harmony remotes do not play well together.
