I can't recall the exact date this was bought for me, but it was in June 2011. It worked fine till some time in January 2012, then the batteries suddenly began needing renewing about every 3 weeks. It's kind of expensive. I use it a lot by running up and down in the Guide mode, plus the Mute button, but no more now than I did when we first bought the remote. I'm sure it didn't need a change for at least six months after we bought it.
Is this normal for this particular model?

Hello Ron,
The window usually has the words asking if everything is working ok. I press Exit, and the four red squares show for a moment then the window goes dark. The buttons never light up.
Thanks for the advice, I'll contact them, - after I find out how! We'll see if they can sort it out.
Thanks for steering me in that direction.
annie

Back again Ron just to say that the help warranty went after 90 days, my Computer Nerd set up the remote for me, so I'll ask him for help.
Thanks anyway! annie
