Hi all,
I have a Harmony 890 remote which isn't working. The 'RF' light on the Wireless Extender isn't lit. Everything on the remote itself appears to be working fine. If I push a button on the remote, the three wavy lines on the top right light up and it says it's working, but nothing happens.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Best,
Michael

The IR emitters on the 890 are probably bad. You can test by using a digital camera. Point the remote at a digital camera, look at the LCD screen to see if you see any flashes from the emitters when a button on the remote is pressed.

Is that true even if the 890 sends an RF signal to the Wireless Extender? The Wireless Extender receives the RF signal from the remote and then transmits it to connectors that send IR signals to the TV, DVD, etc.
This works for the other remotes in my house, so it's a great suggestion. I just don't know if it proves my 890 isn't working.
