Harmony Remotes

I am planning on getting Harmony 890 to control my projection TV.

My TV has IR-IN port at the back. Can I connect Harmony 890 RF base directly to the TV using a regular 3.5mm cable (Thus, I will no longer use IR emitter)???

there is no need to, you can just select to control the tv by ir instead of rf so the tv will not need to be plugged into the rf base station
