Harmony Remotes

I just received a replacement remote for my previous Harmony One which became defective. I'm noticing that this new remote has a longer delay between removing the remote from the charging cradle and when the display lights up. It's quite annoying really. My previous Harmony One did not do this.

The remote has all the updated software. In the software (v7.7.0), I adjusted the settings under Remote Settings > Display Settings so that Glow Timing was 5 sec and left the rest of the options at the factory defaults.

Any suggestions for speeding up this remote's responsiveness when you pick it up?

I also noted the same behavior on the Harmony One I purchased about two months ago compared to the one I've had for years. Both remotes have the same software and configuration. The display is delayed enough to be annoying.

I kept pressing customer service until they sent me a replacement which works perfectly. Clearly, it was a defective unit. Good luck!
