I just got home and picked my remote up from its charger and the screen is blank. I can turn stuff on and off by pressing the screen (location from memory) but my screen is blank and white. What has happened to my remote? I plugged it in, updated it, took the battery out and still nothing has worked??

You might try a firmware relaod in safe mode. For a 'how to' refer to section#21 in WA's FAQs, just click the link in my signature. If this doesn't help it's hardware related. You need to contact Logitech support then.

Ditto, same thing happened to me yesterday - white screen.  No amount of removing/replacing the battery or reinstalling firmware have changed the situation.  (I can download firmware updates without a problem,. but the screen is white the whole time). 

Grrrr...

I tried to follow the instructions for restarting in safe mode, however this doesn't bring happiness (when I connect through USB without the battery, the device isn't powered; when I try doing same with the remote on the charging station, there is no room to plug in the USB).

Same problem with me today.  Wondering if it is date related.  Cannot update firmware since the screen goes black when battery is removed and connect to USB.  Screen stays white when placed in charger.  Nothing seems to work.

I have tried sobbing uncontrallably but that didn't work.

I am trying to let the battery die completely in the hopes that some sort of deep reset will occur.

Any other ideas?

By the way, the remote still "works" in the sense that I can touch the screen in the same position where the "Watch TV" button is normally displayed and go about using the remote normally... just with a completely white screen.

Also - there was no trauma to the remote involved.  I simply picked it up a few days ago to use it and all was white and blanky.

I tried running my  battery dead to no avail.  Same problem returned.  My remote is not functional at all even when I touch the screen in the same position from memory.  When yours "works" does yours beep when you touch the screen like it normally does?  

I submitted an incident report to Support.  Their reply will take up to five days, so now I'm sobbing uncontrollably too.

Yes when I press on the screen, it functions as if it normally would. The screen is just white and blank.
