Re: Harmony One - Unable to get software to work with my Mac OSX

As others have said, it's not your computer. I had same problem and Support ran me around checking Java, uninstall/reinstall, etc. all to no effect. I then went to an XP machine and had no trouble running software and reconfiuring firmware to fix the problem of being stuck in Safe Mode. From the other postings, I think it's obvious that Logitech has an incompatibility problem with OS.

I ran through your Java verification steps, to find that I did have Java 5 all along, while suffering from black screen others report. From the volume of postings, it seems clear that Logitech has a compatibility problem with OS, as going to an XP machine fixed my problems with ease.

Re: Harmony One - Unable to get software to work with my Mac OSX

UMALUM60, thanks so much for posting - it's nice to have validation.  Tech Support NEVER CALLED ME BACK - I guess customer service is not important to them.  We're sending the remote back.  I do not have a PC - I only have a Mac so finding another computer is not an option.

Re: Harmony One - Unable to get software to work with my Mac OSX

I was having the exact same problem and the solutions posted here did not resolve the issue.  However, setting the java version was heading in the right direction.  Note that there are 32 and 64 bit versions of java.  In order to get things to work, I had to make the prefered J2SE 5.0, 32 bit.  64 bit did not work.

I was going attach a screen shot, but aparently this website is not very mac friendly either...
