Harmony One and Marantz AV7005

So the Marantz AV7005 is in the database, which "worked" in that the volume control works with the Harmony One

but controls that are important for functioning don't work.  I'm specifically referring to the direction buttons (up, down, left, right) and the select and return buttons which are all important for the Pandora (and related) internet streaming services.

I tried doing a direct read - both normal and "RAW" - neither worked (except that "left" and "right" sort of worked - very slow response time).

Any suggestions?  Please??

Re: Harmony One and Marantz AV7005

I have the exact same problem. The Harmony database for the Marantz AV7005 is incomplete and probably full of errors. Like, where is the Option button?

The direction button is the biggest problem. I had the Harmony One learn the direction buttons from the original remote. That kind of. helped if I followed that with an adjustment for 'device responds too slowly'.

By adjusting the 'device responds too slowly' option I can get it to respond too quickly or not at all. Ex. The default is set to 3 where the direction commands do not work at all. When set to 4 it sends multiple instances of the direction command. So instead of moving one icon to the right, the remote appears to send the command 2 or more times.

Any suggestions out there?

Re: Harmony One and Marantz AV7005

This is a bummer.  I just got my Harmony One, had the Marantz AV7005 for a couple of weeks now.  I was thinking I'd be able to define an activity to "Listen to Pandora" but if the directional buttons aren't even setup...

I'll play around with it and let you guys know if I'm able to make any progress.

Re: Harmony One and Marantz AV7005

Good luck!

My work around has been to keep the Marantz remote Duct taped to the back of the Harmony. Makes charging the Harmony a pain, but it works a lot better.   I'm considering upgrading by replacing the Duct tape with Velcro.  I'm not sure Sir Jony Ives would approve of my design, but it does add the features that I thought the Harmony would have handled.
