Hi,
I just bought the Harmony One+ and busy setting it up.
Having seen the option to add a custom image to a channel is nice, but the quality as displayed on the remote is bad.
Difficult to explain what I see, but the image seems smeared out. The pixels in the image showing on a PC are not 1:1 pixels on the display of the remote. It is blurry and unclear.
I use the images which can be downloaded from
http://www.iconharmony.com/icons/watchtv?category=
(So I use the Harmony one set of icons).
Looking at the specs for such images on this remote, it is said to be 75x44.
Now, I checked the image size of the icons I downloaded and they are 150x88 !
(so double the size which is actually set as max size in the documentation).
So, I tried to see what the remote displays when I first resize the original images to have half the size (75x44).
Also, on PC screen it looks crisp and not blurry.
Setting this new image to a favorite in the remote also shows the same issue.
The image pixels are blurry. Seems image info is lost.
So my questions:
- Why are the images 150x88 as the docs state that the remote as a max rsoilution of 75x44 pixels?
- Do you as One users see the same with those images: are they crisp or seems blurry?
- Is there a way to get a better image quality (eg use bmp or png instead of jpg)
- Did I forget some kind of setting?
Any remark is welcome !

Well, I tried something else.
I downloaded v7.7 of the software instead of using myharmony.com.
Then I did a complete setup using the local installed software (7.7).
First of all, there are many options here which are not present in the myharmony.com.
(eg themes etc).
Now I created favorites and linked the same images. And now they are crisp !!!!
Even the 150x88 images look good, the same as the resized ones to 75x44. In fact, they look the same !
So what is this?
Is myharmony.com a more stripped version of the 7.7 software?
And why does myharmony.com method produce such ugly images while the 7.7 software are ok?

For excellant channel icons go here, and yes the MyHarmony.com setup is a stripped down version of the 7.7 software.

On a related topic, I used the new Silverlight app to sync my icons (PNG) to my 700 and they look like crap.
The *SAME* icons re-synced with the old Java app appear way better.
