Harmony remotes

If I have all Sony equipment, what advantage would there be using a Harmony remote

Re: Harmony remotes

That would be up to you, at one point I had all Sony equipment, but I found it better to use a Harmony 880 as I only had to have one remote to control all of my equipment and I had better control due to Harmony's Smart State Technology

Re: Harmony remotes

Thanks, by being "better" do you mean that the simplification of the Harmony was better than the Sony remote ;\'steps' to complet a function?

This applies to using almost any universal instead of an OEM remote: - Macros - Discrete commands - Custom button group mapping - Volume punch thru - Backlighting - Rechargeable - PC programmable - Simpler operation. Programmed properly, any function should only take one step. I have mostly Sony equipment too, but I can't fathom actually using Sony remotes. It would be like going back to the stone age.
