Harmony Remotes

I'm having a problem with a new setup I'm trying to do with my television setup.  I have a Magnavox lcd 37" (37mf231d) and am using it with DirecTv HD box and the Klipsch receiver. 

In the logitech remote setup, I have selected to have the receiver control the sound so that the sound isn't coming out of the TV.  However, even after changing this multiple times and syncing remote and the RF receiver, the remote is still only trying to change the sound on the TV.  I can't get it to only use the sound on the receiver.  What do I need to do to change this?  Now, if I want to change the volume at all, I have to go back to Devices, then select receiver, then adjust the volume. 

It's really annoying, and I'm sure there's something that I'm doing incorrectly in the setup.  I'm just hoping that someone else has had this issue and knows how to get around it.
