Hi ckzuber,
Sorry to hear that you are not able to update your remote. In short, this error reflects an issue with the remote not being able to communicate/draw enough power from the USB port on your computer to successfully update. In some cases simply trying another USB port will resolve this issue. Here are the recommend troubleshooting steps from Technical Support for this error.
1. If you are using a Laptop that is being powered via the Laptop Battery, please connect the Laptop to an AC outlet using the AC power adapter that came with the Laptop. Try updating your remote again. If you are using a Desktop PC, plug the remote into a rear USB port which are the most stable.
2. Are there any other USB devices connected to the computer that are currently on and using power? If these USB devices are not needed at the time (a printer, USB Fan, game controller, etc.) please disconnect all non-essential USB devices and try the update once again.
If the above does not resolve this error and allow you to update, I suggest you contact Technical Support for assistance. You can email them here if you wish.
Regards,
Mark
