Logitech 890 - blank screen still glows

I have 2 logitech 890's with BLANK screens. THey seem to operate just fine, but only glow, and don't display. both are considered "out of warrranty" Its bad that both have the same issue, Never dropped, Babied. I have tris the reset, Firmware it takes it all just fine, just never any text on screen. any ideas? parts? fixes?

this has been creeping up more and more (mostly on the 890, not as much the 880)...Logitech hasn't explained why it happens...after some complaining, the best most people are able to get is a coupon for 50% off a new remote from logitech.com

you might want to try talking with support just to see if there is anything they can do
