I was searching for posts I and others made earlier today regarding the current software shutdown and it appears that some posts were removed. No foul language. One post included a comment that Logitech's Harmony Remote control product line might not be a focus for Logitech's current (and future) resources hence the ongoing software issues and the creation of "new" remotes with reduced capabilities and higher price tag relative to some previous remotes. I received no notice that any of my posts were removed and no notice that I violated any particular policy....although I'm sure there is one somewhere.
I wish Logitech forum moderators would put as much effort into tracking down and posting an official company response and status of the current software shutdown. Although we might not be able to do anything about, reasonable attempts to keep customers informed on the status can mitigate some of the frustration.
Has anyone else experienced the quiet removal or heavy editing of their posts?

Maybe they found something they could do?
There is a lot of anger over the lack of any official response, perhaps more so the actual site hassle itself.
It will be interesting to see if they "man up" or as you suspect, quietly disregard our collective disdain.
I've owned and set up for many clients, various "harmony" products over the years. While I do have other options, like URC, which I have also used and provided to paying customers, Logitech has been the lesser of many evils...So far. Phillips "Pronto" comes to mind.
A 24 to 48 hour outage should not be a deal killer, but Logitech's lack of anyone on this site issuing a formal statement is curious. I'm doubtful that it is moderated by a Logitech staffer in an authoritative position. As matter of fact..... I double dog dare them to edit this.... Gads I mentioned URC!

They deleted mine, and all I did was comment about the stupidity of relying on a cloud service for product functionality. I'm also curious what happens to your remote when the "cloud update" crashes in the middle of a download.

Yours was one of the posts I was looking for! I can't believe your comments were that significant that warranted removal. Maybe it was my comments on your thread. I don't want to be too specific or Logitech may remove this post too.

If posts are removed usually Nanci or one of the other moderators will PM you. If not you can message them to find out why they were edited or removed.
Anytime a post is edited it will say that the top who did the editing.

I agree that this web-based system of updating remotes is ridiculous. What's so difficult about perhaps having customers downloading an update to their systems, and updating their remotes that way.
Why do we need to connect to some imaginary system in the sky?
What happens when the sky-system fails? Is my remote an automatic brick?
And you're right, not even an announcement to tell customers what's going on. Just sad.
Needless to say, all of this will go into my thought process for any future purchases.
