Hello! I'm a new Harmony 700 owner. I've got it programmed correctly, however, whenever I change my activity, it never selects the correct input. I have an Element TV, with scrolling inputs. No inputs are skipped and one button is used to activate the input menu. I've tried both method 1 and method 2, method 1 gives me the problem I have now, and method 2 requires me to press the button until I get to the correct input. I've set up an input selection button for each of my activities so that I can always switch them manually, but I wanted the inputs to switch automatically.
Also, is there a way to map a button (like the colored buttons) to a certain input? Like press the red button and have it go to HDMI 1, or is this not possible with my TV?

Increase the Interdevice delay for the TV, with the 700 this is done on the remote, hold the Help button for 5 sec to get to the advanced setting area

Unfortunately, that didn't seem to help. I was also corresponding with the Logitech tech support people and they asked me about a delay until the TV made a noise when it was turned on. My TV doesn't make an "on" noise, it just turns on and the on light flashes a few times. In about 4 seconds I see the TV logo and in 6 seconds I see the input the TV is on, and in 8 seconds, the TV is on and showing a picture. I'm not sure what delay to set the TV to. I've tried almost all the combinations, and no luck. It's almost like the remote doesn't understand my TV inputs. It doesn't know what itput it's currently on and doesn't know how to get to the correct input. It's very frusturating! I found this solution that someone had (for a different remote, but same concept): http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Harmony-Remotes-Prog

All of those delays would be relate to the Power On delay, your problem is when switching between Activities, which involves the Inter-device delay. If you are having a problem not going to the proper input when starting from an all off state, then you would need to increase the Power On delay. How much did you increase the Inter-device delay? What was the default setting for the Inter-device delay?

I don't remember what the original setting was. I know I looked at the input menu as well, and it only let me change it up to a 2 second delay. I played with this setting before the "power on" delay setting, and it hadn't helped.

You need to increase the Inter-device delay some more The Input delay setting is different than the Inter-device delay. From the sound of your problem, you need to increase the Inter-device delay. Are you using MyHarmony.com or the stand alone 7.7 software?

I was using the actual remote control to change the delay setting, but I found it on the downloaded software too. I have an account set up on both ends, but I'm using the downloaded software now. I'm having a pretty big problem with the downloaded software though. When I look at my inputs, they show up correctly, but then when it asks me what input I use to watch TV, my input, "TV", isn't a choice, but it's in the list I made of inputs. I've tried deleting the input and re-adding it, but no luck. Anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Did you just add the TV input, did you also assign a command to that input?
