G'day All,
First, my apologies for the likelyhood of re-hashing an old question, althought I have surfed the forums and I'm struggling not to rip out my hair. This is my first forum post ever, so hopefully I get all the info needed across properly.
So...
I have a 40" Samsung LED UA40D600 (from here on known as 'tv') connected to a Samsung HT-D6750w (from here on know as 'receiver'). They are connected as TV HDMI2(ARC) --> RECEIVER HDMI(OUT).
There is a PS3 connected to the receiver as PS3 ---> RECEIVER HDMI(1).
I recently bought a Harmony 700 from Good Guys. So far I am impressed, yet frustrated. I am running windows 7 x64 and therefore cannot use logitech 7.7 software. So I am using MyHarmony.
The initial setup has organised the WATCH TV (tv), WATCH A MOVIE (bd), LISTEN TO MUSIC (radio), PS3.
However, the problem I have is that the receiver has ONE SOURCE BUTTON that scrolls through a series of possible inputs. The unused inputs cannot be set to hide (and no dedicated button). BD/DVD - D.In - AUX - R.Ipod - W.Ipod - H.In1 - H.In2 - FM. This seems to have a memory effect if turned off etc.
If I simply turn on the TV (and Tv was previously watched) it all turns on beautifully. Then going to FM or PS3 works nice too. However if I try to switch activities from that point, it seems to get the sequencing wrong and never lands on the correct receiver source input without 'help' manipulation.
This is so frustrating, I'm not sure if I need to write a mini activity to go to the main menu of the receiver, then 'right' 'up' 'up' 'enter' etc, or if I'm simply missing something small?
