Harmony Remotes

I have been searching the Quick start guide, FAQ, and the forums for a few hours now and just can't seem to get my Harmony One to work with my PS3 after installing the adapter today.

The Harmony adapter for PS3 is paired with my PS3 (running firmware 3.70) and I have configured the PS3 for my remote as directed by this article.  It never works though, I can't control any movie or the device in any manner until I pick up the PS3 controller and use that instead.

What's the expected behavior of the remote if it was working with properly with my PS3?  Should I be able to navigate the main screen with my Harmony One as I do with the PS3 controller?

Using Bing to search for help I stumbled over a thread here on the forums that had the answer... unplug the adapter to power cycle it.
