Panasonic DMP-BDT500 and Harmony 900

I have the Harmony 900 and the Panasonic DMP-BDT500 Blu-ray player.  The 900 will turn on/off the DMP-BDT500, open/close the tray, stop/play, search/skip.

The problem is that the 900 will not navigate and/or select (enter/OK) within either the DMP-BDT500’s menus or the Blu-ray disc menus.  The DMP-BDT500 remote has a touch pad (which I hate) that is used to navigate and make selections with.  However, the 900’s navigation pad & OK button have no effect.  So what happens is, the Blu-ray disc loads it’s menu and highlights “Play” but no button on the 900 will cause the movie to start.  And of course you cannot select any scenes or setup or special features from the Blu-ray disc menu.  Is there a technical reason why the Logitech Harmony data base setup for the DMP-BDT500 cannot emulate the DMP-BDT500’s touch pad functions? Is there something that I’m doing wrong? Is there a work-around that I can do at my end?

Thanks in advance,

Ron

Use the DMP-BDT210 profile instead. Same commands as the 500 except they actually work. If you're still missing some, just customize buttons in your activity and add/change them.
